Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective October 7, 2026

Nobody should have to hunt for how to cancel or get their money back, so here it is up front. This page explains how your WipedMe subscription renews, how to stop it whenever you want, and when you get a refund. It's part of our Terms of Service, and if the two ever differ on refunds or cancellation, this page controls.

The short version

  • Your plan renews automatically every month or every year at the price you agreed to at checkout, plus any applicable tax, until you cancel.
  • Cancel anytime online in Manage billing or by emailing support@wipedme.com. No phone call, no questions.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for. You won't be charged again.
  • Your first payment is refundable in full if you ask within 14 days.
  • We email you before every yearly renewal and before any price change applies to you.

How billing works

There are three plans: Solo (1 person), Duo (2 people), and Household (4 people), each billed monthly or yearly. Prices are on our Pricing page, and the exact amount you'll pay is shown at checkout, next to the button you press, before you pay.

Your first charge happens at checkout. After that, each renewal is charged to the payment method on file on your renewal date: the same day of the month (monthly plans) or the same date each year (yearly plans) as your first payment. If that day doesn't exist in a given month, such as the 31st, you're charged on the last day of that month. If you switch between monthly and yearly billing, your renewal date can move to the date you switched.

Payments are processed by Stripe, and we never see your full card number. Stripe emails you a receipt for every charge, and Manage billing shows your next renewal date and every invoice. For copies of invoices, email billing@wipedme.com.

Reminders we send

  • Right after you subscribe: a confirmation email with your renewal terms, this cancellation policy, and how to cancel.
  • Yearly plans: a reminder 30 to 40 days before each yearly renewal, with the date, the amount, and how to cancel.
  • Every plan: at least once a year, a reminder of your plan, how much and how often you're charged, and how to cancel.
  • Price changes: at least 7 days and no more than 30 days before a new price first applies to you, an email with the new amount and how to cancel. We never charge a new price without that notice, and if you cancel before it applies, you won't pay it.

How to cancel

You can cancel anytime, for any reason. Use whichever way is easier:

  • Online: open Manage billing (it's also linked at the top of every page), enter the email you used at checkout and the one-time code Stripe emails you, then choose to cancel your subscription. It takes effect for future renewals straight away.
  • By email: write to support@wipedme.com from the address on your account and say you want to cancel, or use this pre-written cancellation email. No reason needed. We process email cancellations within one business day.

We don't make you call us, chat with anyone, or click through offers to cancel. We confirm every cancellation by email. If you don't get a confirmation within one business day, write to support@wipedme.com.

What happens when you cancel

Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and we keep working until then. On that date billing stops, and we stop filing new requests and re-checking. Requests we already sent stay with the sites that received them, and listings can come back over time without us re-filing them.

To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date. An email cancellation counts from the moment you send it: if you email us before your renewal date and the renewal charge goes through before we've processed your request, we refund that charge in full.

Your authorization ends when your subscription ends. What we keep afterward, and for how long, is explained in our Privacy Policy.

The 14-day refund on your first payment

If WipedMe isn't right for you, email support@wipedme.com within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund that payment in full. No reason needed. This applies to monthly and yearly plans of any size, once per customer.

The 14 days count from the date of your first charge, and your request counts from when you send it, even if we reply later.

A refunded subscription ends right away, and we stop filing new requests. Requests already sent can't be recalled from the sites that received them.

Other times we refund

We also refund:

  • A renewal charged after you asked to cancel, as described above, in full.
  • A duplicate charge, or a charge for the wrong amount or the wrong plan.
  • Anything above your previous price, if we ever charged a new price without first sending the notice described above.
  • The unused part of your current period, if we end your service for a reason that isn't your breach of our Terms, or if we stop offering WipedMe.
  • Anything else the law requires us to refund.

Outside these cases, renewal charges aren't refundable and we don't refund unused time after you cancel. If something went wrong on our end, or a renewal caught you off guard, write to us anyway. We look at every request individually and would rather make it right.

What isn't refunded

  • Unused time after you cancel. Instead, your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Renewal charges, except as described above.
  • Credit from switching to a less expensive plan. It's applied to your future charges, not paid out as cash.
  • The rest of your current period if we end your service because you broke our Terms or Acceptable Use Policy, except where the law requires a refund.

Switching plans

You can switch between Solo, Duo, and Household, or between monthly and yearly billing, in Manage billing. Before you confirm, Stripe shows you the new price and any adjustment for the time left in your current period. Credit for unused time on your old plan goes toward your future charges. Your new plan renews automatically at its own price until you cancel.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. We issue them within 5 business days of approving them. Your bank or card issuer usually takes another 5 to 10 business days to show the refund, and that part is on their timeline.

If a payment fails

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry it over the following days and email you a link to update your card. While a payment is outstanding we may pause new filings, and if it's still unpaid after the retries, your subscription may end. We don't charge late fees.

Questions about a charge

If a charge looks wrong, please email support@wipedme.com first. Most billing questions are settled in one reply, which is usually much faster than a card dispute. Nothing in this policy limits your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer.

Free trials and promotions

We don't currently offer free trials or promotional codes. If we ever do, we'll show the terms, including what happens when the trial ends, before you sign up, and remind you before it turns into a paid plan.
