FCRA Disclaimer

Effective October 7, 2026

WipedMe files privacy requests for the people on a plan. It does not assemble, evaluate, or sell information about anyone, and nothing it provides may be used to decide a person's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or anything else covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Notice under the Fair Credit Reporting Act

WipedMe (CILE LLC) is not a "consumer reporting agency" as defined in the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq., and does not furnish "consumer reports". Nothing WipedMe provides may be used, in whole or in part, as a factor in establishing any person's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, a government license or benefit, or for any other purpose covered by the FCRA.

What WipedMe provides

We file opt-out and removal requests for the people on a plan, under their own signed authorization. We don't search for, look up, compile, or sell information about anyone. What we send you is limited to status updates about your own requests, such as "removal requested" or "not present at last check".

Uses that aren't allowed

You may not use WipedMe, or anything we send you (status updates, request records, or our list of sites), to:

  • Decide whether to extend credit to someone, or on what terms.
  • Decide whether to hire, promote, reassign, or keep someone.
  • Decide whether to rent housing to someone, or screen a tenant.
  • Decide whether to insure someone, or on what terms.
  • Decide whether to grant a government license or benefit.
  • Serve any other purpose for which a consumer report may be used under 15 U.S.C. § 1681b, or check out another person for any reason.

Why this matters

Companies that assemble or evaluate information about people for these kinds of decisions take on serious legal duties under the FCRA, including accuracy, notice, and dispute obligations. WipedMe isn't built for that and doesn't do it, and the service must not be used that way.

If someone breaks these rules

Using WipedMe for an FCRA-covered purpose breaks our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy. We may end the service (refunds follow our Refund Policy) and report the misuse to the appropriate authorities.

If you need help with a consumer report

If something in your credit or background report is wrong, you can dispute it directly with the consumer reporting agency that issued it. You can get free credit reports at AnnualCreditReport.com, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau explains your FCRA rights at consumerfinance.gov.

Some people-search sites also sell screening reports. Our requests ask sites to remove your listings or stop selling your information, but we can't file FCRA disputes for you.

Your privacy rights are unaffected

This disclaimer doesn't limit any right you have under state privacy laws, such as California's CCPA. Our Privacy Policy explains those rights and how to use them.
